It is with regret that we have to announce that our preferred MOSFET for many of our products, the ST Electronics STP2NK60Z has reached the end of its life and is now practically unobtanium through our wholesalers. It was a great low-noise and inexpensive replacement to the skyrocketing-in-price IRF710.
We will be evaluating the IXYS IXTP1R6N50P as a replacement, but it appears the days of low cost, small-gate MOSFETS are over.

Introducing the 7C Phono for the PAS preamplifier. Loyal Marantz fans will now be able to take their favorite phono stage with them into the Dynaco world.

Due to the large volume of email we receive, PC board circuits NOT of our design may incur a consultation fee if you require an unusually large amount of support building them. We have added notes on the PC board descritptions which are of more advanced designs that should not be attempted by beginners or those unfamiliar with the circuit they go in. Consultation fees are outlined here. Support for Classic Valve Design designed circuit boards is still free and shall remain so!

We have added our labour rates for popular services to our Services page due to a huge increase in local business. Regular clients will notice an increase. Sorry, this is our first rate increase since 2005 and is long overdue.

New PCB available - Dynaco Mark III power supply board with "failsafe" bias and tube balancing controls here.

An application note, AN-3.pdf is available for combining the PAS-K phono stage with the CVD PAS line stage. Combining these two stages requires less modification to your PAS and simplifies upgrade!

We have discontinued reselling of Weber and Jensen speakers. We now use them for internal repair jobs/custom builds only. No resales.

Ordering terms have been updated to reflect: 1) Length of time product is reserved for and options with mailed-in payments and 2) Clarification of our policy regarding deposits for custom builds.

The US dollar has stabilized vs. the Canadian dollar. No price increase from us for another three months at least!

With the US dollar being consistently low, we may have to increase prices within the next two weeks. We mention this now for fair warning announcement - we hate surprise hikes as much as you do.

We have added two more recent builds to our Services page - an 845 power amplifier and The Borealis preamp.

Due to a sharp price increase in the International Rectifier/Vishay IRF710, we will be switching our HV MOSFET over to the ST STP2NK60Z. This will not affect DynaMutt or the PAS regulator at all. We will however, do tests on the MooseFET for sonics. We do have a few matched IRF710's remaining. The IRF610 as used in the MOSeiden will be unaffected by this.
